It's moving day. I'm sick. I've had 3.5 hours sleep and my body is SORE!
I started getting sore early in the week and didn't know why. I had a bath with loads of Epsom salts, bicarb and borax on Tuesday night cos that usually fixes it when I get inflamed and sore (which hasn't happened for ages!).
It didn't fix it. In fact it got worse...
Then I started to feel something going on in my throat on Wednesday and even thought I'm taking all the things that usually nail something like that, they've made no difference. 😥
I woke up at 2.30 this morning and lay there until almost 5am when I finally gave in and got up. While I lay there I was thinking about the inflammation and getting sick.
Then it hit me - mold spores! Packing...
I opened a shoe box on Monday that contained a pair of shoes I've only ever worn a couple of times. They were covered in mold. And even though I saw it and felt the reaction in my body, I then cleaned the mold off them before realising that was DUMB and putting them outside to be chucked.
Doh! 🤦♀️
And then the next day I packed my text books that were in my moldy clinic for 4.5 years, that I've really not touched since we've been in this house because I knew they'd have mold spores.... I don't want to get rid of them because they're handy at times and very expensive medical texts.
That was the day I started feeling unwell. Bugger!
Its making sense now... 🤔 I need to learn to NOT underestimate the effects of mold on my body.
One good thing. While I couldn't sleep I figured out how to remediate my text books so I'll be making a video about that!
I think I'll be on the Panadol today to make it through. Desperate times call for desperate measures. 😬
I've got too much stuff to do to be sick and sore! 😠 Wish me luck!
This was dinner cooking last night but I was so hungry I forgot to video the second part of the video... 😂
We had chicken nibbles in the Ninja. It was amazing!
30 minutes on air crisp in the Ninja for the nibbles and about 20 minutes on the grill for the rump steak.
A couple of slices of cheese and some fermented Daikon. So good! 😋
I woke up at 3am today and was lying in bed unable to sleep. I was thinking about what to do with this Locals group. It's been on my mind a LOT as it's not really doing what I'd hoped and there's so little going on here. A conversation between two members is nice, but it doesn't quite create that community feel. I really feel bad that a few people are paying for this...
I have to admit that didn't quite understand how Locals worked when I set this up, and I now realise I jumped in too fast. I've just worked out how to email this to you all (I hope... 😅)
Here on Locals, those who aren't supporters aren't able to comment or participate on posts or see live video, and with a Basic plan (due to member numbers) I can't even make it free for people. So I've found myself feeling pressure to do 'something' to make things happen.
I think this was bad timing on my part.
So I made the decision early this morning to set up a group on Facebook to replace this one, which is of course free for all who ...
I'm hoping to do a live stream later today all going well. I have a bit to do, but I want to have a chat about this group so if not today, then tomorrow.
It's been on my mind a lot and I'm not sure I've chosen the right platform or perhaps I just jumped in too fast... Anyway, I'll share my thoughts later when I've got a bit of time. 🤔
