I was replying to a comment from @Lizeetvee and thought I'd share some further thoughts here.
I think everyone eating a Carnivore diet is amazing. Every one of us is taking responsibility for our health, going against the grain (literally 😂) and pushing the boundaries of what is currently deemed to be 'truth' by most people.
We can feel separate and different, and yet we carry on. And for those of us with ongoing health challenges, to keep going, even in the face of what might look to others like failure, is something to be proud of.
Only WE can feel what's going on in our bodies and I know for myself, that I FEEL the benefits of this way of eating even without the fast weightloss, or the total resolution of health issues or the things that people around me are looking for as evidence of my improved condition.
All any of us who face these frustrating, ongoing challenges can do is to slog on. Here's the little bit of my reply to Olivia
"I've had a motto for a lot of years it goes something like this 'If I don't ever give up, only one of two things can happen. I either eventually succeed or I die trying' 🙃"
Never give up on yourself. 💖
This was dinner cooking last night but I was so hungry I forgot to video the second part of the video... 😂
We had chicken nibbles in the Ninja. It was amazing!
30 minutes on air crisp in the Ninja for the nibbles and about 20 minutes on the grill for the rump steak.
A couple of slices of cheese and some fermented Daikon. So good! 😋
I woke up at 3am today and was lying in bed unable to sleep. I was thinking about what to do with this Locals group. It's been on my mind a LOT as it's not really doing what I'd hoped and there's so little going on here. A conversation between two members is nice, but it doesn't quite create that community feel. I really feel bad that a few people are paying for this...
I have to admit that didn't quite understand how Locals worked when I set this up, and I now realise I jumped in too fast. I've just worked out how to email this to you all (I hope... 😅)
Here on Locals, those who aren't supporters aren't able to comment or participate on posts or see live video, and with a Basic plan (due to member numbers) I can't even make it free for people. So I've found myself feeling pressure to do 'something' to make things happen.
I think this was bad timing on my part.
So I made the decision early this morning to set up a group on Facebook to replace this one, which is of course free for all who ...
I'm hoping to do a live stream later today all going well. I have a bit to do, but I want to have a chat about this group so if not today, then tomorrow.
It's been on my mind a lot and I'm not sure I've chosen the right platform or perhaps I just jumped in too fast... Anyway, I'll share my thoughts later when I've got a bit of time. 🤔
